i'm still in high school. i know u guys will think this is a stupid question but i never encountered this before. alrighty this is my problem...what if u like a girl that listens to different music than u? lets just say i listen to hip hop (i'm a dancer) but she listens to country or rock or whatever. i don't really know this girl but im planning to know her (myspace baby!!). yeah i don't know her # or anything. so lets just say i started to know her and became friends with her, but we're in different...groups...if that's what u wanna call it? see i'm kinda n the hip hop atmosphere and she's kinda in the..."preppy" lol i guess...kind of group. so i try to ask her out...what do u think will happen? i've never had this problem b4 cuz i've always dated a girl that we kinda share the same style (hip hop) instead of dating a girl that is outta my world...but i still like her lol so what do i do? i just don't wanna waste my time n run into a wall.

If u like her ask her out , what's the problem in that? So what if she's into different stuff or hangs out wid different people - you never know you both could have something in common that u did'nt have b4.Give her and urself a chance.

Well, some people says that much better to be with someone on the same music you're on, to avoid some complication in the future. So, it's all up to you if you are going to change your own tune, if you do, try to hit her tune and will see what's gonna happens...just try it out dude!

even if your style of music is different from hers, it doesn't mean you won't find anything else you have in common with each other. i say go for it and try to find things you both like. good luck!

Sometimes music can be a really important thing to have in common, but at the end of the day, even people that like the same music won't necessarily like all the same bands or dress the same way. I've never been with a guy who had the exact same taste as me and half my friends are into completely different stuff but we still all get on fine anyway. If you like her, go for it!

Well she might be a little intimidated by you and who your hang around..try finding more things that she can relate to you with and get her more comfortable with being your friend..
