Well, I personally think of MySpace as a place to stay connected with people I'm already friends with or to reconnect with friends with whom I've lost touch. If I were you, I would try the real world to make friends. BTW, 30 year olds on MySpace kind of creep out most people.

it depends how old the 'girls' you are trying to be friends with are. personally, i would find it a bit creepy if a random 30 yr old man added me on myspace, and i'm 19.
maybe myspace isn't the best place to make new friends. you could try a dating website that is also for making friends and just chatting via e-mail ect? i don't know any off the top of my head but i'm sure there are loads!

Hmm. ..if a random guy added me, which they do on Facebook, I would delete them or say rude stuff to them. It's kind of like you're stalking them or something. I think you should meet people in real life, not through MySpace, because people find it creepy, especially with whats happening in the world.
Try meeting your guy friends girlfrieds friends or soemthing, or get someone to hook you up!

I don't think myspace is the wrong site at all i just think really try and be friends to women and i also have to say i think the majority of people meet women or men off the Internet i think it would be better to meet girls of the net than walk up to them in coffee shops or bars or anything like that i met my g/f on the inter net and i have friends who do the same so just don't lose hope

dont try TOO hard, its unnerving. Just be relaxed and realize that most people on myspace dont want to meet new people.
