Though personally, I've always had more luck using the "non-mainstream" sites. Dated a few people from Friendster and Findapix (which doesn't even exist anymore). I find that people on mainstream sites tend to ignore you, since they are getting a bunch of messages from guys. If your using a lesser-known site they don't get as many messages. Add to that, I'm pretty sure MySpace is ripe with dudes posting as girls.
